Abstract

Headlight for motor vehicles, characterized in that it includes a hollow body molded of a synthetic resin material and opened at one of its ends, said body having two substantially parallel walls that define part of the periphery of the body, a mounting member located on the body and which serves, during use, to provide means for mounting the headlight on a motor vehicle, a metal support member mounted on the body and including a base part, said base part being fixed to said mounting member by rivets passing through one of said two parallel walls of the body, said support member including a pair of arms forming a single piece with said base part and extending upwardly from the body from opposite ends of the base part, respectively, each of said arms including a pair of one-piece flanges directed oppositely, a glass closing the open end of the body and one organ reflector mounted on the body and capable of supporting a lamp so that, during use, the light emitted by the lamp is reflected by the reflector body and exits through the glass, said glass and said reflector body being fixed to a flange of each one of the arms of the support member, the other flange of each of said arms being attached to the body.
