Tapacubos supletorio para ruedas de automóviles, caracterizado esencialmente porque está constituido por una superficie curvo-convexa, de naturaleza flexible, obtenida por moldeo de materias plásticas, la cual presenta en su cara externa, una decoración convencional, impresa o sobrepuesta, estando dotada la citada superficie del tapacubos de, al menos, un sector operativamente dispuesto para rebatirse sobre el interior del borde del tapacubos real de la rueda, con lo cual, el montaje del tapacubos supletorio se realiza recubriendo el tapacubos real con el tapacubos supletorio, de modo que el borde de este último se rebata sobre el borde del tapacubos real, y montando ambos tapacubos sobre la rueda, de manera que el tapacubos real sirve de medio de anclaje del tapacubos supletorio, quedando visible la decoración que este último comporta.
