Un procedimiento de fabricar una porción de un costado de vehículo que comprende; colocar un panel de chapa lateral plana sobre una superficie de trabajo con la cara interna del panel mirando hacia arriba; colocar reforzadores relativamente planos en la cara superior del panel, aplicar presión a la cara superior de los reforzadores para arquear el panel y los reforzadores hacia abajo en el centro, manteniéndose el panel y los reforzadores a la chapa mientras están arqueados, y luego dejar que el panel y los reforzadores vuelvan a un estado virtualmente plano.
