Contenedor plegable de material laminar, provisto de aislamiento térmico de su contenido, caracterizado porque está constituido preferiblemente por un solo elemento de material laminar troquelado debidamente recortado y perfilado y comprende al menos una hoja flexible de resina expandida unida a dicho elemento laminar de modo que expandida, preferiblemente de poliestireno expandido, adecuada, lleno y cerrado el envase, la presencia de la hoja de resina expandida, determina la formación de una cavidad, que con tiene el producto, térmicamente aislada del ambiente externo, a fin de poder mantener durante cierto tiempo en su interior las condiciones deseadas de temperatura.
