Enchufe articulado caracterizado por que está constituido por dos piezas independientes entre sí: una, que es el cuerpo principal, constituida por un núcleo de material refractarlo, envuelto por una capa de amianto que a su vez está protegida por una cubierta metálica y cuyo núcleo aloja las hembras destinadas a encajar en las clavijas toma-corrientes del aparato a que se suministre esta; cada una de cuyas hembras lleva atornillado un vástago que por intermedio de un eje de giro, se une a la clavija articulada que ha de encajar en la otra pieza del enchufe que se reivindica, teniendo el núcleo refractario las cavidades convenientes para que esas clavijas giratorias puedan formar ángulo incluso de 90° respecto a los vástagos en que van montados.
