Abstract
Movement mechanism for music boxes for reproducing a musical performance tape comprising a music box frame, a horizontal shaft, rotatably supported on said frame for rotation, a plurality of spiked discs, provided on the contour thereof with circumferentially spaced nails, radially extended, said spiked discs being juxtaposed on said shaft in a relatively rotating manner, a plurality of spacer discs, fixed on said shaft, in such an arrangement, that each one is interposed between each two adjacent spiked discs and placed on each other. Frictional contact with the latter, and a plate of tabs, having tabs, which are arranged in opposition to said spiked discs, to be touched by the latter, whereby the musical playing tape, which runs on said spiked discs, forms a gear of nail and piercing with said discs clav eteados to execute the melody, characterized in that a second tree is arranged in parallel relation to said horizontal shaft and having mounted on it a pressure roller, which has provided on the same annular grooves, axially spaced, to allow free movement of said nails on said spiked discs, said pressure roller also being arranged in such a way that annular places, axially spaced on said pressure roller, are interposed with said spiked discs and opposed to said spacer discs, so that said discs are tightened.
