Abstract

Process for extracting plasminogen tissue activator from pregnant sow ovary. The ovaries, separated from the fallopian tubes, are carefully cleaned and ground until they are converted into a paste, then subjected to a lipid-removal phase, followed by a phase for extraction with potassium thiocyanate (KSCN). After another resuspension phase with potassium thiocyanate, they are subjected to an acidification phase, then to a dilution phase, next to another extraction phase with fibrin and, finally, to a phase for separating the tPA which is completed by a terminal purification phase.
