EN EL ADAPTADOR SE ALOJA UN DISPOSITIVO ELECTRICO DE IMPEDENCIA EN SERIE PARA EL FUNCIONAMIENTO NORMAL DE LAS LAMPARAS. ESTOS DISPOSITIVOS INCLUYEN TAMBIEN UN RESISTOR (47, 48) QUE RESPONDE A LA CORRIENTE DE INCANDESCENCIA DE LAS LAMPARAS Y QUE SE DISPONEN PARA MANTENER LA CORRIENTE DE INCANDESCENCIA EN LAS DIVERSAS LAMPARAS A LAS QUE SE PUEDE ADAPTAR, SUSTANCIALMENTE A UNO Y AL MISMO NIVEL.
