Abstract

The invention relates to a cartridge-type mixing valve which contains a fixed plate with two inlet holes for the entry of the separate streams of hot and cold water and an outlet hole for the hot water, the cold water or the mixed water and further contains a movable plate which is adjustable on the fixed plate and relative to the latter and has a mixing chamber of a design which allows it to connect one or both inlet holes for the water to the outlet hole. Accommodated in the mixing chamber of the movable plate is a screen-like element which functions as a disturbing element and has the task of reducing noise and of dividing the flow of water into two planes at right angles to one another before it reaches the outlet opening.
