Abstract

The closure has a cover fitted into a moulded plastics ring and having container engaging members on the radially inner surface of the ring. The ring comprises a relatively thin cylindrical member with a cover receiving groove positioned downwardly from the ring top and engaging the outer edge of the cover portion. - The container engaging members comprise continuous threads. The outer dia. of the groove is greater than the inner dia. of the continuous threads, facilitating the insertion of the cover through the top of the ring.
