EL PROCEDIMIENTO CONSISTE EN SEPARAR DE FORMA EFECTIVA DE LOS ACEITES GLICERIDOS LOS CONTAMINANTES RESIDUALES MEDIANTE ADSORCION SOBRE SILICE AMORFA. EL METODO USA HIDROGELES DE SILICIO AMORFOS, PARCIALMENTE SECOS, CON UN CONTENIDO DE HUMEDAD DE POR LO MENOS ALREDEDOR DEL 25% EN PESO Y UN DIAMETRO DE PORO MEDIO INFERIOR A UNOS 60 ANGSTROMS. EL TRATAMIENTO DE ESTOS ADSORBENTES DE SILICE CON UN ACIDO ORGANICO, TAL COMO ACIDO CITRICO, ACETICO, ASCORBICO O TARTARICO, REALZA LA CAPACIDAD DE ADSORCION DE LOS CONTAMINANTES RESIDUALES. LOA ADSORBENTES DE HIDROGELES DE SILICE AMORFOS SON UTILES PARA SEPARAR CONTAMINANTES RESIDUALES DE LOS ACEITES GLICERIDOS, ESPECIALMENTE FOSFOLIPIDOS E IONES METALICOS ASOCIADOS.
