LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN METODO PARA LA FABRICACION DE UN 2,2'',4,4'',6,6''-HEXANITROSTILBENO (HNS) CON PUREZA Y DENSIDAD VOLUMETRICA ESPECIFICADAS, GENERALMENTE INDICADO COMO HNS II, A PARTIR DE UN PRODUCTO EN BRUTO MENOS PURO CON DENSIDAD MENOR, AL CUAL SE HACE REFERENCIA DE MANERA GENERAL COMO HNS I. DE ACUERDO CON LA INVENCION, EL PRODUCTO EN BRUTO ES PURIFICADO POR RECRISTALIZACION A PARTIR DE UN DISOLVENTE, DE LOS CUALES LA N-METILPIRROLIDONA DA EL MEJOR RESULTADO DE MANERA DESTACADA, MIENTRAS LA DENSIDAD VOLUMETRICA DEL PRODUCTO ES INCREMENTADA POR TRATAMIENTO ULTRASONICO DE LOS CRISTALES RESULTANTES, DISMINUYENDO ASI SU PROPORCION DE LONGITUD A ANCHURA.
