The machine, esp. intended for packing disc-shaped tuna portions, consists of two superimposed conveyors running in guides, one being a very long horizontal belt, and the shorter upper one being slightly inclined and ending at the same point, where there is a tubular orifice to stabilise the tuna mass shaped between the conveyors, which are formed by trough sections of 180 deg arc. - The horizontal conveyor has an open stretch for loading the tuna and has vertical railings at the side to increase the loading capacity. The fish cylinder is cut at the outlet of the stabilising orifice by a rotating and oscillating disc blade, the thickness of the cut slice being controlled by a device which adjusts the intermittent advance of the conveyors.
