Abstract

The compsn., for removing synthetic enamels, varnishes, nitro or polyurethane lacquers, plastic paints and synthetic resins, contains 80wt.% benzyl alcohol, 0.5% cellulosic thickener, 3.2% thixotropic agent, 16.3% surfactant and 0.02% colouring. It is made by adding the thickener to the benzyl alcohol with stirring, sprinkling the thixotropic agent over the mixt. with stirring, adding the surfactant and finally the colorant.
