PROCEDIMIENTO PARA LA PURIFICACION DE FENOXIDOS DE FORMULA GENERAL (I), DONDE R1 REPRESENTA UN RADICAL CARBAMOILO Y R2 REPRESENTA UN RADICAL ISOPROPILO, QUE COMPRENDE: (A) LA REACCION DEL FENOXIDO (I) IMPURO CON UN HALOGENURO DE ARALQUILO TAL COMO CLORURO DE BENCILO OBTENIENDOSE UN INTERMEDIO N-BENCILADO (IV) QUE SE PURIFICA HASTA UNA PUREZA DEL 100% DETERMINADA POR HPLC MEDIANTE CRISTALIZACIONES SUCESIVAS CON NAOH; (B) HIDROGENAR CATALITICAMENTE EL INTERMEDIO (IV) OBTENIDO; Y (C) SEPARAR LA SOLUCION ACUOSA RESULTANTE DE LA EXTRACCION CON UN DISOLVENTE ORGANICO Y PRECIPITAR EL FENOXIDO YA PURO CONTENIDO EN DICHA SOLUCION ACUOSA POR AUMENTO DEL PH HASTA APROXIMADAMENTE 10,4-10,5. EL FENOXIDO (I) ASI PURIFICADO PUEDE SER UTILIZADO EN COMPOSICIONES FARMACEUTICAS PARA EL TRATAMIENTO DE ALTERACIONES CARDIOVASCULARES DEBIDO A SU ACTIVIDAD BETAADRENERGICA.
