Abstract

The process, esp. suitable for making moulds for reproduction of artistic works, consists of (a) fixing a suitable parting line on the model by attaching a fin; (b) applying successive layers of latex over the external surface, with an intermediate glass fibre layer; (c) reinforcing the flexible mould obtd. with an exterior coating of resin and glass fibre, to obtain a rigid mould sub-divided into independent zones which can be joined together by screws.
