Abstract

The weft-thread-introducing needle has a head (2) the eye of which is formed by a vertical slot (4). The ends (6, 8) of the slot (4) are set back with respect to the central portion (10) in a direction opposite to the direction (12) of introduction of the weft thread. This results in a weft-thread-introducing needle which allows weaving in different weaving systems in a needle-ribbon-weaving machine without extensive adjustment.
