Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce the heat exchanging area by burning a granular substance containing fuel while fluidizing with the air on two beds to generate vapor and then feeding entrained granular substance separated from exhaust gas to a third bed and cooling. CONSTITUTION: A vapor generator 10 supplies fuel and a sulfur adsorbent, i.e., limestone particles, to fluidized bed rooms A, B where they are fluidized and burnt with the air from air distributing plates 30, 31 to generate vapor through heat exchange with the water tube group of walls 36, 38, 42 and 44. Exhaust gas from the room A combined with that from the room B ascends to enter into a cyclon separator 54 above a room C and then enters into a heat recovery region 64 after entrained limestone particles are separated. The entrained limestone particles drop onto an air distributing plate in the room C and cooled while being fluidized with blowing air and further cooled by passing water through a pipe 50 from a pregeater 120, or the like. Consequently, heat exchanging area of a circulation fluidized bed required for a fixed quantity of heat to be thrown in can be reduced.
