Abstract

An insulator comprises a compensating spacer (7) made of an elastic material in the form of a disk (8) with at least three petals (9) spaced equidistantly about its perimeter. The disk (8) and petals (9) are made as an integral unit, the petals (9) being crimped so that their outer surfaces are in contact with the inner surface of the head (2). The spacer prevents displacement or skewing of the rod (5).
