Abstract
Connection for optical fibres covered with a plastic sheath. The method consists in reconstructing the sheath portion removed in order to allow welding of the optical fibre, by means of the use of a sleeve inside which the material, for solidification, is injected in the liquid state. The connection thus obtained will therefore comprise the sleeve and the solidified material injected inside it. The device comprises substantially an injection chamber formed by two silicone bushes. One of the bushes is hollow and, via it, a syringe injects material in the liquid state, which material is to solidify inside the sleeve.
