Abstract

The conveying device serves for the continuous removal or feeding-in of non-pumpable granular or lumpy substances between spaces at different pressures, e.g. vacuum plants, pressurised reactors or the like. For this purpose, the material, which is located in a preferably funnel-shaped collecting space, is pushed, by means of an oscillating piston, into a chamber having a deformable outer cover. The material filling is conveyed into a higher or lower pressure level while the receiving housing part is moved back and the piston is in the extreme position with sealing taking place by the outer cover being acted upon by pressure from the outside. The emptying aid is the push-out piston. The transfer can take place in plastic sacks or containers, possibly also in an inert gas atmosphere, in the event of usage as a removing device.
