Abstract

The aim hereof is to vertically displace the lift which, owing to breakdown or lack of electrical current, has stopped between two floors, allowing it sufficient movement to descend to the next floor down so that persons inside the car can reach safety. It comprises an auto-braking reducer incorporated in a casing which has inside it a multiple-throat drum for the rolling-up of secured planar cables and as terminal for the conventional cables. The auto-braking reducer is powered by autonomous batteries. All the aforesaid is mounted in the roof of the car, with an emergency connection push-button arranged inside the car.
