Abstract

Portable barbecue of the type which comprises a hearth receptacle and a grill, characterized in that, unlike known barbecues which are difficult to assemble and dismantle and tiresome to store on account of the large size of the single-piece assembly which constitutes said hearth receptacle and its ash pan, the present barbecue eliminates these drawbacks since the ash pan 4 is independent of the hearth receptacle 1, being fastened removably to it, which makes it possible to manufacture said ash pan 4 using material and finishes which are more economical than those of the hearth receptacle 1. Advantageously, the legs 13 supporting the assembly are fixed more securely and conveniently by means of being coupled to supports 11 secured in an equidistant manner to the outer lateral periphery of the ash pan 4, a wind shield 17 being mounted on the hearth receptacle 1 by means of plates 20 with double inflection which engage on the flanged opening 1' of said hearth receptacle 1, said plates 20 being fixed to the wind shield 17 without the inclusion of rivets, screws or another similar element.
