Abstract
Process for the preparation of O-oxy-o'-carboxy-azo dyes especially suitable for the dyeing of protein fibers or mixtures containing them characterized in that 2-amino-1-benzoic acid-4- or -5-acid amides are coupled sulphonic diazotides in which a hydrogen atom of the sulfamide group may be substituted by the oxyethyl group with 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolones which may contain in the phenyl radical the usual substituents in the azo dyes but no acid substituents which form salts after which the monosaccharides obtained according to known methods are optionally treated with means which yield chromium in such quantities that at least 1 chromium atom falls on two dye molecules.
