Abstract

The aim is to allow the transportation of different pieces in installations for painting, thermal treatments, etc., of the type which has two rails, an upper rail 1 via which an upper carriage 3 runs and another, lower rail 2 via which a free, lower carriage 5 runs. The lower carriage is equipped with a drive system 4 which has a pinion 7 which meshes on a rack 8 arranged in the lower carriage 2 so that the lower carriage can be moved totally independently of the upper carriage. The drive system 4 on its shaft 9, is capable of incorporating drive wheels 10 for transporting the lower carriage 4, said shaft 9 being able to incorporate the pinion 7 which meshes on the rack 8, allowing different means of entrainment.
