EL PROCEDIMIENTO SE CARACTERIZA PORQUE EL CUERO ENCALADO, DESENCALADO Y DECAPADO Y, EN SU CASO, RASPADO DE MANERA HABITUAL, SE TRATA ANTES DEL CURTIDO CON MATERIAS CURTIENTES VEGETALES (SINTETICAS) DURANTE 0,5 A 7,0 HORAS, PREFERENTEMENTE DURANTE 1,0 A 5,0 HORAS, CON EL 2 AL 20%, PREFERENTEMENTE EL 3 AL 15%, CON RESPECTO A LA MASA DE CUERO, DE ACEITE MINERAL, CONVENIENTEMENTE ACEITE DE PARAFINA, DE GRASAS Y ACEITES GRASOS, PREFERENTEMENTE ACEITE DE COLZA, GRASA DE CERDO, DE DERIVADOS DE ACEITE MINERAL QUE CONTENGAN GRUPOS CAPACITADOS PARA LA REACCION CON LOS GRUPOS NHSI2 DE LA ALBUMINA DEL CUERO, CONVENIENTEMENTE SULFOCLORURO DE PARAFINA, O DE COMBINACIONES DE LOS MATERIALES ENUMERADOS, QUE FORMEN MEZCLAS HOMOGENEASA TEMPERATURAS EN LAS QUE ESTOS MEDIOS DE TRATAMIENTO SE ENCUENTRAN EN ESTADO LIQUIDO, Y QUE SEAN POR LO MENOS 20GC MAS BAJAS QUE LA TEMPERATURA DE CONTRACCION DEL CUERO A CURTIR.
