Abstract

A hinge device for use in pivot windows consists of two hinge parts (1 and 10) adapted to be secured to the frame and the sash, respectively one of the hinge parts having a part circular guide channel (6) for a likewise curved slide member (7) which through a hinge pin (13) supports the base plate (11) of the other hinge part. This base plate carries a guide pin (18) which by abutment against the concave side wall (5) of the guide channel prevents turning of the said base plate on the hinge pin (13), until the slide member has been displaced to the maximum in the opening direction, which guide pin during the displacement by abutment against a nose (20) on the end of the slide member (7) urges this member against the convex side wall (4) of the guide channel with the purpose of obtaining a friction adjusted to preventing an undesired displacement of the slide member.
