Abstract

The system is depicted in Figure 1 and consists of the following elements: a shaft 1 ending in a toothed wheel 2 by means of which it engages with the front steering, causing the shaft 1 (and the entire assembly 3, 4 and 5) to rotate when the front wheels rotate. The shaft 1 has an extension 4 which carries a coupling 5 whereby it is joined to the cam 3 which is able to oscillate in it. The cam 3 consists of a piece inside which a furrow of suitable shape has been drilled. Use is made of a system whose contraction or extension (normally as a function of the speed (velocity)) forces the cam to rotate in its coupling 5 (the rotary shaft (axis of rotation) of which will normally be parallel to the shaft 1 and will coincide with one of the central points of the furrow). A finger 6 which is coupled to the bar of the rear steering is inserted inside the furrow of the cam, causing the rear steering to be displaced transversely and to rotate the rear wheels when the fronts wheels rotate.
