Abstract

The material comprises a reinforcement layer in the form of "E"-cut glass fibre 10 and a support layer in the form of glass-fibre cloth 11 on the upper surface thereof, which are impregnated, respectively, with a first and a second amount of a UV-curable polymeric composition 12, 14 and they are all sandwiched between a first and a second outer protective sheet of a suitable material, such as nylon or melinex 15, 16. The process comprises forming at least one layer of the fibrous reinforcement material 10 and, on at least one surface thereof, an interstitial support material 11, both materials being impregnated with the curable polymeric composition 12, 14. The laminar material is of use for roofs and roofing and is curable by UV radiation.
