Abstract

The toggle clamp consists of a housing with a clamping arm (11) mounted pivotably on this and of an actuating lever (1) which is equipped with a spring-loaded detent lever (3) lockable on the housing. The detent lever (3) is articulated on the actuating lever (1) above the clamping-arm joint (2), is oriented in the same direction as the actuating lever (1) and is braced relative to this by means of a compression spring (4). The detent lever (3) is equipped with a detent (18) securing its release position and lockable on the housing (6). The detent end (5) of the clamping lever (3) articulated on the straight actuating lever (1) is shaped on this in the form of a clamping jaw (7) which, in the clamping position, is supported in a wedge-like manner on the housing (6) equipped with a clamping-jaw bearing surface (10). With a simple design, the clamp can thereby be locked both in the clamping position and in the release position by means of the detent lever. <IMAGE>
