Abstract
High-speed image processing system, of the type receiving, as input, a video signal picked up in image lines (1) and each line by pixels with coordinates (x), which comprises a microprocessor which controls: (a) a background unit (8) which comprises an ASIC device (15) with means for checking the video input signal (1) and a synchronisation signal (17) originating from a line memory ML (14) which stores one image line, to an operation memory bilut (16) and (b) a filter unit (9) which receives the signal originating from the background unit (8) and which comprises a group of n fifos (20) in cascade in such a way that if (x) is the coordinate of the pixel present in the image line (1), the image pixels which are formed are: (x - im) (1 - jm), m varying between 1 and n an ASIC device (15.1) which receives the output signals from the group of n fifos and sends them to an operational memory OPLUT.
