Abstract
METODO Y APARATO PARA TRATAR AGUA CONTAMINADA, TAL COMO UN MATERIAL LIXIVIADO PROCEDENTE DE UN SITIO DE RELLENO DE TERRENO. EL TRATAMIENTO IMPLICA LA APLICACION AL AGUA DE COAGULANTES ANIONICOS Y CATIONICOS EN DIFERENTES ETAPAS, Y ENTRE LA APLICACION DE LOS COAGULANTES SE AÑADEN AGENTES DE PRECIPITACION A FIN DE PRECIPITAR LOS CONTAMINANTES QUE TIPICAMENTE SON IONES METALICOS EN ESTADO DE DISOLUCION. LOS COAGULANTES SON POLIELECTROLITOS QUE EN EL CASO DEL PRIMER COAGULANTE AÑADIDO CAUSAN LA FORMACION DE UN COPO O FLOCULO Y LA ADICION DEL SEGUNDO COAGULANTE CAUSA UNA DENSA DEPOSICION DE CONTAMINANTES. SIGUE UNA SEPARACION Y LOS SOLIDOS SEPARADOS SE HACEN PASAR A UN DEPOSITO ESPESADOR DE LODO MIENTRAS QUE EL LIQUIDO SEPARADO QUE TIENE UNA ALTO VALOR DE PH ES SEPARADO DE AMONIACO Y OTROS COMPUESTOS NITROGENADOS COMO MATERIALES VOLATILES. EL PH SE REDUCE SUBSIGUIENTEMENTE A CERO Y A CONTINUACION SE RETIRAEL DIOXIDO DE CARBONO.
