Abstract

The stirrer device (1) for use in stirred vessels (18), provided for difficult conditions of use, such as highly corrosive liquids, vacuum operation and the like, has a housing (2) which is guided tightly in the neck of the stirred vessel (18) via a conical housing part (3). The stirrer shaft (4) is mounted, secure against tilting, in the housing (2) via rolling-contact bearings (11, 12). For sealing, lip seals (14) are provided, whose lips bear against a hardened and smoothed running surface (15) on the stirrer shaft (4). The lip seals are preferably guided peripherally in a housing bore and braced against the rolling-contact bearing (12) via spacer discs (16) and a bracing disc (17) on the outside. <IMAGE>
