Abstract

Motorcycle tyre characterized in that the central part of its tread band uses rubber of a different hardness than that used on the sides thereof. Normally, use will be made of a rubber of normal consistency in the central part of the tread band (it will therefore have the same life as a conventional tyre) and softer rubber (and therefore with great adhesion) on the sides of the tread band, which will make it possible considerably to increase the performance and safety levels on a bead (as the motorcycle will travel for only a small percentage of the total distance covered resting against the ground via the side part of the tread band of its tyres, and although the rubber used in this zone is softer its life will be the same as that of the rest of the tyre).
