Abstract

The invention relates to a screwing tool with a reversible locking mechanism having clamping bodies (24) in wedge-shaped clamping spaces (23) between an outer annular driving part (3) and an inner core output part (8) of approximately triangular cross-section. The clamping bodies (24) can be shifted into the release position relative to the wedge walls of the associated clamping space by means of a rotatable switch member catching in its switch positions, by drivers (17) which engage on the clamping bodies (24) and which block the transfer of the clamping bodies into one of their two respective clamping positions. To achieve a constructionally simple, serviceable and low-friction design, a clamping body (24) rests loosely in a respective clamping space (23) and can be shifted into its clamping position by the rotational movement of the annular driving part (3). <IMAGE>
