EN UN DISPOSITIVO AUXILIAR PARA APARCAMIENTO CON UN EMISOR / RECEPTOR DISPUESTO EN EL LATERAL EXTERIOR DEL VEHICULO PARA EMITIR UNA SEÑAL DE EMISION VERTICAL Y LA SEÑAL DE REFLEXION RESULTANTE DE LA SEÑAL DE EMISION SE REFLEJA EN UNA PEQUEÑA ZONA ANGULAR. LA SEÑAL DE REFLEXION SE CONDUCE A UN MECANISMO COMPARADOR QUE RECIBE UNA MAGNITUD CARACTERISTICA (MAGNITUD DE ENTRADA) DEL CAMINO RECORRIDO. SE PUEDE CALIBRAR EL TAMAÑO DE UN HUECO PARA APARCAR EN RELACION A LA LONGITUD DEL VEHICULO.
