Abstract

A liq. impregnating agent contains as the main component, the dry substance isocyanate modified linseed oil and a drying (siccative) mixt. The solvent consists mainly of an aliphatic hydrocarbon-free liq. The agent also contains a finely divided paraffin, wax or polyolefin dispersion. USE/ADVANTAGE - The impregnating agent does not contain water and can be applied as a paint which impregnates better into the wood than previous agents giving a fungicidal and algicidal effect and simultaneously provides a surface finish, thus obviating the need for separate surface treatment. The agent protects the wood better from water, UV light, sun and the cold and is also environmentally friendly. The surface is smooth and shiny. Both the impregnation and the finish are long lasting.
