SE MIDEN LAS TENSIONES INTERNAS EN OBJETOS CILINDRICOS COMO EJES, VASTAGOS Y TUBOS DE MATERIAL CON PROPIEDADES MECANICAS HOMOGENEAS NO UNIFORMES. EL METODO CONSISTE EN LANZAR UN HAZ DE ONDAS ULTRASONICAS SOBRE LA SUPERFICIE DEL OBJETO CILINDRICO QUE SE ESTA COMPROBANDO. DICHO HAZ ES REFRACTADO EN UN ANGULO DE 90 GRADOS. A CONTINUACION SE MIDEN LAS VECES QUE PASA CADA TIPO DE ONDA, Y SOBRE LA BASE DE LAS DIFERENCIAS CALCULADAS DE LAS VECES QUE PASA RESPECTO A UN PATRON SE CALCULAN LOS VALORES ABSOLUTOS DE LOS COMPONENTES DE LAS TENSIONES. EL METODO ES APLICABLE PARA LA COMPROBACION NO DESTRUCTIVA DE LAS PROPIEDADES Y LA ESTRUCTURA DE MATERIALES Y PRODUCTOS.
