UN ANALIZADOR DE GAS OPTICO QUE COMPRENDE UNA FUENTE DE RADIACION (1) Y MEDRAS (8) PARA CONDUCIR LA RADIACION OBTENIDA DE ESTA FUENTE (1) A TRAVES DE UNA MUESTRA DE GAS Y UN NUMERO DE FILTROS OPTICOS (10A,10B,10C) QUE CORRESPONDEN AL NUMERO DE GASES ANALIZADOS, CADA UNO DE LOS CUALES PERMITEN A TRAVES DE UNA LONGITUD DE ONDA REPRESENTATIVA POR EL GAS PARTICULAR Y ESPECIALMENTE ABSORVIDO POR EL MISMO, A UN NUMERO DE DETECTORES (11A,11B,11C) QUE CORRESPONDEN AL NUMERO DE GASES ANALIZADOS. EL ANALIZADOR DE GAS DESCRITO ES PROYECTADO PRIMARIAMENTE PARA LA MEDICION DE GASES DE ANESTESIA, POR EJEMPLO, HALOTANO, ISOFLURANO Y ENFLORANO, DIOXIDO DE CARBONO Y GAS HILARANTE Y EN PARTICULAR EN CONEXION CON ANESTESIA PARA CONTROLAR AL PACIENTE Y ADMINISTRAR EL ANESTESICO.
