PROCESO PARA LA CODIFICACION Y DISPONIBILIDAD DE UNA TARJETA DE IDENTIFICACION PARA USARLA COMO UN MEDIO DE ALMACENAMIENTO EN UN SISTEMA DE CONTROL DE MEMORIA PROGRAMABLE. LA PRIMERA VEZ QUE UNA TARJETA DE IDENTIFICACION FUNCIONA EN UN SISTEMA DE CONTROL, TIENE LUGAR UN PROCESO DE CODIFICACION QUE ESPECIFICA LA TARJETA DE IDENTIFICACION EN EL SISTEMA DE CONTROL. DESPUES DEL PROCESO DE CODIFICACION SE PUEDE COPIAR LA TARJETA PERO LA COPIA SOLO PUEDE FUNCIONAR EN EL SISTEMA DE CONTROL EN QUE LA TARJETA ORIGINAL FUE CODIFICADA. EN EL CASO DE QUE HAYA UNA ANOMALIA EN EL HASDWARE DEL SISTEMA, LA DISPONIBILIDAD DE TODA LA INSTALACION QUEDA ASEGURADA CON LA INVENCION DADO QUE UN SEGUNDO SISTEMA DE CONTROL CON UNA TARJETA DE IDENTIFICACION CUYO CODIO ES INCOMPATIBLE CON EL DEL SISTEMA DE CONTROL PERMANECE OPERATIVO DURANTE UN PERIODO DE TIEMPO LIMITABLE.
