EN UN ASPECTO PARTICULARIZADO Y ESPECIALIZADO LA INVENCION SE DIRIGE A PROCEDIMIENTOS PARA DETECTAR Y/O DETERMINAR NIVELES LIMITE DE METABOLITOS DE HORMONAS, TALES COMO PREGNANODIOL-3-GLUCURONIDA (P3G) Y ESTRONA-3-GLUCURONIDA (E13G) EN ORINA HUMANA. EL ENSAYO CONSISTE EN PONER EN CONTACTO UNA MUESTRA QUE CONTIENE EL ANALITO CON UNA CANTIDAD CONOCIDA DE UN ANTICUERPO SUYO Y CON UNA CANTIDAD CALIBRADA DEL ANALITO MISMO QUE ESTA CONJUGADO A DICHO SOPORTE SOLIDO. CUANDO EL NIVEL DEL ANALITO EN LA MUESTRA EXCEDE UN NIVEL LIMITE, TAL COMO 5 (MU)G/ML PARA P3G, EL ANTICUERPO SERA INSUFICIENTE PARA BLOQUEAR TODO EL ANALITO CORRESPONDIENTE EN EL SOPORTE SOLIDO.
