THE INSOLUBLE MATERIAL IN LIQUID IS SUPPOSED TO FORM A MATRIX WITHIN WHICH THE LIQUID SOLUBLE MATERIAL RESIDES. A PROBLEM THAT FREQUENTLY ARISES IN THE FORMULATION OF MIXTURES OF POLYMERS IS THE INCOMPATIBILITY OF THE POLYMERS THAT ARE BEING MIXED. WHEN ATTEMPTS ARE MADE TO MIX INCOMPATIBLE POLYMERS, PHASE SEPARATIONS OCCUR, RESULTING IN MIST, LACK OF TRANSPARENCY AND OTHER FORMS OF INHOMOGENEITY. THIS INVENTION PROVIDES POLYMERIC MESHES INCLUDING MIXTURES OF POLYMERS IN WHICH AT LEAST ONE OF THE MIXTURE POLYMERS IS CROSS-LINKED AFTER MIXTURE, TO FORM A CONTINUOUS MESH THROUGH THE MASS OF THE MIXTURE, WHICH IS THE MIXTURE INTERLOCKED IN SUCH A WAY TO FORM A HOMOGENOUS COMPOSITION MACROSCOPICALLY. SUBSTANTIALLY THE ENTIRETY OF THE CROSS LINK IS PRESENTED AFTER THE POLYMERIC MIX IS COATED AND DRIED TO FORM A CONTINUOUS FILM IN CONTRAST WITH THE CROSS LINK IN SOLUTION, PROVIDING THEREFORE AN EASILY REVESTABLE SOLUTION. THE INTEGRITY OF SUCH MESHES PERSISTS EVEN AFTER THE ABSORPTION OF SOLVENT. THESE MATERIALS MAY BE USED TO FORM TRANSPARENT, NON-STICKY, DURABLE, INK ABSORBENT COATINGS FOR GRAPHIC MATERIALS.
