Abstract

A chair has mechanisms for adjustment of seat height, seat inclination and backrest rake. Seat height and seat inclination are independently adjusted by fluid cylinders 8 and 17 under the control of a single mechanism operated by a single handle 11, movement of the handle in one direction enabling seat height adjustment and movement of the handle in the other direction enabling seat inclination adjustment. Backrest rake is adjusted by fluid cylinder 35 under the control of a separate handle 51 (Fig 6).
