LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN PROCESO PARA PREPARAR ACIDOS DICARBOXILICOS DE CADENA MEDIA POR OXIDACION BIOQUIMICA DE MODO QUE SE PREPARAN ACIDOS DICARBOXILICOS C8 Y C10 A PARTIR DE NIVELES NO TOXICOS DE ACIDOS GRASOS C8 - C14 UTILIZANDO UNA LEVADURA CON NITROGENO RESTRINGIDO PROPAGADO EN UN SUSTRATO DE CARBONO QUE CONTIENE EL MEDIO DE CRECIMIENTO. PREFERIBLEMENTE, EL MATERIAL GRASO SE SUMINISTRA A LA LEVADURA EN LA FORMA DE UN GLICERIDO. TAMBIEN SE PREFIERE QUE LA CANTIDAD DE NITROGENO EN LA BIOMASA ESTE ENTRE 4 Y 9%, EN ESPECIAL 5,5 Y 7% (PESO/PESO).
