Abstract

The machine is provided for extracting water contained in the solid waste from olives from which the relevant oil has previously been removed. The machine acts such that it presses specific quantities of solid waste in order to extract the water, this being collected independently of the pressed solid waste. The machine has a supply hopper 2 and, under it, a metering reservoir 3 which discharges the solid waste into a charging tank 7 in which it is pressed by means of a piston 9 of the cylinder 10, the water exiting via the lateral apertures 12 and the solid waste via a lower hatch 17 after opening of the latter and pushing by means of an upper plate 19 actuated by a cylinder 20. The water which exits via the apertures 12 gains access to a collector 14 with a drain or general collection channel 15. The mechanisms act in synchronization in order constantly to repeat the working cycles, it being possible to vary the charges which gain access to the metering reservoir 3 in accordance with the dimensions of the machine.
