Abstract

Improved bicycle and seat-adjustment system consisting of two monocoque pieces: one piece formed by the handlebar and fork assembly 1 and another piece formed by the frame 2 which are produced in a lightweight material with a high degree of strength and a certain elasticity, which gives the bicycle a certain level of damping owing to the fact that it dispenses with the part which connects the steering column (axle, axis) to the shaft of the pedals and bottom bracket bearing assembly. It also incorporates a system for adjusting the seat 3 which is secured obliquely to the upper, rear part of the frame by means of perforated rails which allow the seat to be secured in various positions by means of bolts. This improvement constitutes a novelty in the sector of the manufacture of sports vehicles of the bicycle type, both in terms of its monocoque structure and in terms of its aerodynamic design which is formed by interconnected edges and broad curves. This results in greater elasticity and damping as a consequence of the result obtained in a single homogeneous weld-free piece.
