PROCEDIMIENTO PARA GENERAR SILICIO POR REDUCCION DE CUARZO EN HORNO ELECTRICO DE FUNDICION DE CUBA BAJA, EN DONDE EL HORNO ELECTRICO DE FUNDICION DE CUBA BAJA CON UN LECHO DE FUSION DE PIEZAS MOLDEADAS EN BRUTO, QUE PRESENTAN CUARZO DE GRANO FINO ASI COMO UN MATERIAL DE CARBONO DE GRANO FINO, Y ES CARGADO CON CUARZO GRANADO. SE TRABAJA CON PIEZAS MOLDEADAS EN BRUTO QUE PRESENTAN UN ADITIVO FORMADOR DE CARBURO, CUYO CARBURO REDUCE A SILICIO AL OXIDO DE SILICIO, LIBERANDOSE OXIDO DE CARBONO. PREFERENTEMENTE SE TRABAJA CON SILICATO DE MAGNESIO COMO FORMADOR DE CARBURO. LA CANTIDAD DEL ADITIVO SE ELIGE DE FORMA QUE LA EXTRACCION DE SILICIO AUMENTA CONSIDERABLEMENTE EN COMPARACION CON EL TRABAJA CON PIEZAS MOLDEADAS EN BRUTO SIN ADITIVO.TAMBIEN SE INDICAN PIEZAS MOLDEADAS EN BRUTO PARA EL PROCEDIMIENTO.
