Abstract

The system is based on a door providing access to the inside of the cell or enclosure to which it is applied, the door having two parts, an external hermetic closure part 1 and another, internal part 2 consisting of a lattice (trellice, trellice work), both being displaceable simultaneously and independently in order to open and close totally or in order to open the hermetic part whilst maintaining the lattice in the closed position, the door assembly being actuated by a hydraulic cylinder 3 and being held in the closure position of the lattice 2 by another cylinder 7. The system also includes smoke-detector and temperature-sensor means inside the enclosure or cell in which the door is used, as well as water-spraying means (sprinklers) for extinguishing any fires. The functions of the actual door are coordinated by means of electrovalves (solenoid valves) coordinated with a programmable robot device located at the officer's post, via which computer-control is achieved.
