LA INVENCION SE REFIERE A UN METODO PARA DETERMINAR LA CONCENTRACION DE ANTICOAGULANTES COMO FUNCION DE LA INHIBICION DE LA FORMACION DE TROMBINA EN UNA MEZCLA DE ENSAYO. LA MEZCLA DE ENSAYO SE COMPONE DE DOS REAGENTES Y LA MUESTRA DE PLASMA DILUIDA. LA MUESTRA DE PLASMA DILUIDA QUE CONTIENE UNA SUBSTANCIA ANTICOAGULATORIA SE MEZCLA CON UN REAGENTE DE FACTOR DE COAGULACION, QUE ES UNA COMBINACION DE UNA CANTIDAD DE FACTORES DE COAGULACION PURIFICADOS DEL SISTEMA ENDOGENO, FOSFOLIPIDOS Y UN INHIBIDOR DE TROMBINA DEBIL, QUE PUEDE SER POTENCIADO MEDIANTE UNA SUBSTANCIA ANTICOAGULATORIA. ENTONCES SE AÑADE UN ACTIVADOR EN CASCADA DE LA COAGULACION Y CLORURO DE CALCIO, A LA MEZCLA Y LA TROMBINA FORMADA SE MIDE DESPUES DE UN TIEMPO DE INCUBACION ESCOGIDO.
