Abstract

It is characterized in that it consists of three lenses formed by a body 1 to which a body 3 is coupled, there being defined, between the two bodies 1 and 3, an empty zone 2 so that the index of refraction of the zone 2 is always lower than that of the materials 1 and 3 and the index of refraction of all of them is greater than that of the aqueous humor of the eye. The materials 1 and 3 may be the same. The most important application of the invention is in the correction of myopia between -10 and -30 dioptres.
